Lola, a Second grader at Middletown Primary, did not realize that I had been watching her periodically throughout the day. Over the course of the school day, I noticed that Lola had used her manners, saying "please, thank you, and excuse me", with friends in her class and other students within the school. She offered help to her friend with special needs. She also, stacked two extra chairs at the end of the day, without being asked, after two friends left school for dismissal. Lola chose kindness, just because. This is the kind of character that we should see everyday, from every child.
